Time is of the essence when it comes to your license

If you’re arrested for a DUI there is an automatic administrative suspension of your license. If you are convicted of DUI, the judge will impose a separate driver’s license revocation, ranging from months to years depending on your situation. You only have 10 days from the day of your arrest to request a DMV hearing, which will temporarily extend your driving privileges. It is important that this request be made in writing within 10 days, or you will lose the right to challenge the suspension of your license.
