Tenacious Jacksonville DUI Defense Attorneys Getting You Back on the Road
Rigorous defense of your driving privileges from attorneys with 80 years of combined experience
For most people, a car is not a luxury — it’s a necessity. We drive to work, we drive to the grocery store, we drive to see our doctors: we drive almost everywhere. At Shafer Law, P.A., we understand how crucial it is that you retain your ability to legally drive a car. But that privilege can be taken away instantly if you’re arrested for a DUI. Our attorneys have a proven track record of success when it comes to having clients’ licenses reinstated. We’re ready to fight for your livelihood in court.
Time is of the essence when it comes to your license
If you’re arrested for a DUI there is an automatic administrative suspension of your license. If you are convicted of DUI, the judge will impose a separate driver’s license revocation, ranging from months to years depending on your situation. You only have 10 days from the day of your arrest to request a DMV hearing, which will temporarily extend your driving privileges. It is important that this request be made in writing within 10 days, or you will lose the right to challenge the suspension of your license.
We can help you get in the driver’s seat again
Depending on your particular set of circumstances, the attorneys of Shafer Law, P.A. may be able to set aside that automatic suspension of your license. If you refused to take the Breathalyzer or field sobriety tests, the police will have little to no concrete evidence of your being intoxicated.
