Biography:
Hugh M. Fletcher, Jr. was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Fletcher graduated with from the University of Florida with a Bachelor degree in 1965 and law degree, Juris Doctorate, in 1968.
Mr. Fletcher was promoted rapidly in Public Defender Office from Trial Attorney, Division Chief, Supervisor of County Court, and Chief Assistant Public Defender form 1968 to 1976. Mr. Fletcher served as a judge from 1976 to 2000. During his tenure he served as Circuit Representative, District Vice-President and Chairman of the Criminal Rules and Produce and on the committee that drafted and published the Standard Jury Instructions for Misdemeanors.
Mr. Fletcher joined Robert Shafer and Associates in 2001 where he using his years of experience to defense the rights of those accused of a crime.
